Mary & May - Retinol 0.1% Bakuchiol Cica Serum - 80ml
If you study the ingredients list of the Mary & May Retinol 0.1% Bakuchiol Cica Serum on INCI, you'll see that it contains a tonne of superstars. There's of course 0.1% pure retinol, 0.1% bakuchiol and cica extract as the names suggests, but there are also a lot of other cell-communicating additions that'll all conspire to make your skin smoother and plumper. There's phytosphingosine to strengthen the skin barrier, copper peptides for collagen regeneration and adenosine to reduce fine lines. Mary & May have also included something called PDRN (the long name is Polydeoxyribonucleotide), which has shown extremely promising results in reversing the signs of aging! This creamy, pale yellow serum comes in a giant 80ml size, which apart from being great value, gives your skin a solid chance to reap the benefits from a single bottle.

WHO NEEDS THIS?
Ideal for aging skin, skin on the dry side, and even mild acne because there are so many anti-microbial ingredients in this. It's also marketed as one for retinol beginners and daily retinol use, but take it slow nonetheless before you start using it daily (especially if your skin is sensitive). It's still weirdly strong, despite having just 0.1% retinol! A good thing ultimately, because this show it's effective.
HOW DO I USE IT?
In the evening, apply on skin after cleansing and toning. Follow with a good moisturiser. Remember to always wear an SPF during the day, as skin can get more sensitive to UV exposure when you use retinol.
Precautions:
Stop using the product immediately and consult a dermatologist when redness, swelling, or other skin irritations occur, and consult a physician. Avoid applying the product on open wounds or skin inflammation. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of infants and children.
