Weleda's Perineum Massage Oil is an all-natural oil blend to help you prepare for the birth of your baby (woohoo, congrats!). As you may have been advised by your midwife or OB, perineal massage can enhance the skin's flexibility, potentially reducing the likelihood of tears and cuts during childbirth.
From 34 weeks onwards, you can prepare for delivery with regular perineal massage using this oil. This vegan formula uses organic sesame and jojoba oils, as well as sweet almond and vitamin E-rich wheatgerm oil to promote elasticity.

WHO NEEDS THIS?
Suitable those in the last two months of their pregnancy that are planning on a vaginal delivery. This is also just a lovely herbal oil blend, and can be used as a regular massage oil as well.
HOW DO I USE IT?
This oil can be applied by yourself or with a partner. The later you are in your pregnancy (or the bigger your tummy), a partner massage is generally a lot easier! Weleda advises a massage around 3-4 times a week for ~5-10 minutes using ths oil, from the 34th week of your pregnancy. Try it after a warm bath (ensuring your bladder is empty). Use clean hands, and ask your midwife or health professional to advise you and your partner of the best techniques.
Precautions:
Stop using the product immediately and consult a dermatologist when redness, swelling, or other skin irritations occur, and consult a physician. Avoid applying the product on open wounds or skin inflammation. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of infants and children.
